CLEAR CREEK – Funeral services for Sam Gibson, 83, were held at the Maxwell Methodist church Wednesday afternoon, May 19. Burial was in the Peoria cemetery.
Mr. Gibson died May 16, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sam Jones at Marion where he had lived since the death of his wife Sadie Michel Gibson a few years ago.
Mr. Gibson is survived by the daughter and one sister, Mrs. William Young of Maxwell.
He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Gibson, pioneer residents of Clear Creek. They owned the farm where Charles Fackler now lives.
They were members of the Methodist church and active in community life.
