Small Daughter of Bernard Craigs Dies at Hospital
Judith Ann Craig, one-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Craig, 521 East Fifth Street North, died Thursday at 7:34 p.m. at the Skiff Memorial hospital. She had been ill with the flu and was taken to the hospital Wednesday.
The three other children in the home are suffering with the flu, Mary Eleanor being the most seriously ill.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the Murdoch funeral home by the Rev. T. J. McCann of the Sacred Heart church. Interment will be in the Newton Union cemetery.
The Craigs have resided in Newton for the last 10 years, and Mr. Craig is employed here at The Maytag company.
Besides her parents, she is survived by three sisters, Patty Lou, Mary Eleanor, and Deloris.

Conduct Rites Saturday for Judith Craig
Funeral services for Judith Ann Craig, 1-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Craig, were conducted from the Murdoch funeral home Saturday at 10:00 a.m. by the Rev. T. J. McCann of the Sacred Heart church. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
Miss Ruth Magyar furnished the music for the rites, singing, “On This Day, Oh Beautiful Mother” and “Ave Maria” by Rosewig. Miss Lois Hundling presided at the organ.
Pallbearers were Harry, Robert and Arthur Craig, brothers of the father.
The child died Thursday night at the Skiff Memorial hospital.
Surviving relatives are the parents, and three sisters, Patty Lou, Mary Eleanor and Deloris.
