CLEAR CREEK – Andrew Couch died at the hospital at Yankton, S.D., Dec. 23. He had been in poor health a long time and in the hospital three months.
Funeral services were held in Rapid City, Dec. 26, and burial was beside his grandson Bobby Lawrence.
Mrs. Charles and son of Phillip, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Harold Briggs of Cottonwood, Mrs. Grace Barber and children of Rapid City were the only relatives attending except the wife and daughter.
Mr. Couch was about 70 years old and spent his early life on the farm of his father, Rufus Couch here.
He married Florence Streeter and they made their home on the farm before going to South Dakota 20 years ago to take up a claim near Rapid City. They have been at Caputa, S.D. several years.
Besides the wife and only child, Faye, who has been with them in their illness, he is survived by three brothers, Frank Couch of Ira, Warren Couch of Ames, and William Couch of Spooner, Wis. Two sisters and three brothers preceded him.
