Former Newton Resident Dies
Mrs. Charles Thompson Coffin to be Buried in Newton Thursday
Graveside rites for Mrs. Charles Thompson Coffin, who died in De Soto, Kan., will be conducted at the Newton Union cemetery Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will be in the Coffin lot beside her husband, who was buried May 31, 1928.
Funeral services for Mrs. Coffin were held in De Soto this afternoon, after which the funeral party was to leave for Newton.
Mrs. Coffin, who was Lilly B. Marcks before her marriage, and her husband lived in Newton over 50 years ago. The latter was a brother of Mrs. Mary Frances Skiff, in whose memory the local hospital was dedicated, and of Alice Virginia Coffin, one of the seven founders of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Mrs. Frank P. Ross and Mrs. Stella Skiff Jannotta of Chicago, both well-known in Newton, are nieces of Mrs. Coffin by marriage.

Hold Graveside Rites in Newton for Mrs. Coffin
Graveside rites for Mrs. Charles T. Coffin of De Soto, Kan., former Newton resident, were conducted at the Newton Union cemetery Thursday at 1:00 p.m. by Dr. A. E. Ramige of the First Congregational church.
Mrs. Coffin died in De Soto, where funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon.
