Mrs. Campbell Dies in Waterloo
Former Zerush Guetzkow Dies Wednesday at Age of 24 Years
Mrs. Robert A. Campbell, 24, of Waterloo, formerly Miss Zerush Guetzkow of Newton; died Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo.
Mrs. Campbell, who gave birth to a baby daughter, March 18, died of a recurrent infection, with which she had been suffering for several years.
Funeral Rites
The body was brought to Newton where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Presbyterian church by the pastor, Dr. Harry J. Findlay. Interment will be in the Newton Union cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Guetzkow, was born at New Sharon Oct. 24, 1912, and came with her parents to Newton when she was three years old.
She attended the Newton public schools and was graduated from the local high school with the class of 1930.
Marriage
She was united in marriage to Robert A. Campbell Nov. 5, 1934, and they had since lived in Waterloo. The baby daughter was the first child in the home.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Newton and was formerly guardian for a local Camp Fire Girls’ group.
Surviving relatives include her husband and baby daughter, Beverly Jeanne; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guetzkow; two sisters, Mrs. Jay Mackerman of Newton and Mrs. William D. Snarry of Des Moines; one brother, Joel Guetzkow of Newton, and a niece, Joanne Mackerman of Newton.

Mrs. Campbell’s Services Held
Rites For Waterloo Woman Held Saturday at Presbyterian Church in Newton
Funeral services for Mrs. Robert A. Campbell, 24, of Waterloo were conducted from the First Presbyterian church in Newton Saturday at 2:00 p.m. by the pastor, Dr. Harry J. Findlay.
Music was furnished by A. Eugene Burton, who sang, “In the Garden,” “Ivory Palaces,” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Lois Hundling was the accompanist.
Interment was in the Newton Union cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers: Donald Mackerman, Daniel Mackerman, Roscoe DePenning, Lester Maxfield, Francis Campbell and Wayne Altemeier.
The flowers were arranged by Mrs. L. F. Hatfield, Mrs. Ella Failor, Helen Gustavison and Mrs. William B. Clements.
Those attending from out-of-town were Mrs. C. W. Fellows of Fremont, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Campbell and son, Francis, of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Campbell of Redwood Falls, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. James R. Casebeer, Maxine Lee and Mr. and Mrs. William D. Speery of Des Moines.
Mrs. Campbell died Wednesday afternoon at the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo as the result of a recurrent infection.
She was Zerush Guetskow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Guetzkow of Newton, before her marriage Nov. 5, 1934, to Robert A. Campbell.
Surviving relatives are her husband; a baby daughter, Beverly Jeanne, 12 days old; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Guetzkow; two sisters, Mrs. Jay Mackerman of Newton and Mrs. William D. Sperry of Des Moines; one brother, Joel Guetzkow of Newton, and a niece, Joanne Mackerman of Newton.
