Mrs. Charles Binegar, mother of George and Charles Binegar of Newton, died Saturday, June 19, at the home of her son, Clarence, at Montezuma.
Emalisa Cralle Binegar, daughter of Edward and Sarah Cralle, was born in Moline, Rock Island county, Ill., Oct. 3, 1868, and came to Iowa to make her home with a sister near Searsboro at the age of 13 years.
On Jan. 24, 1891, she was united in marriage to Charles I. Binegar, who preceded her in death May 24, 1912. Seven children, born to this union, were Clarence of Montezuma, George and Charles of Newton, Mrs. Vada Comegys of Des Moines, John of Chicago and Addie, who died Nov. 29, 1929.
Besides her children, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sadie Harper of Rock Island, Ill.; a brother, Thomas Cralle of Seattle, Wash., and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church in Montezuma Tuesday afternoon, June 22. Interment was in Montezuma cemetery.
