Mrs. Billings Dies in Newton
Former Polk City Resident Dies at Home of Daughter, Mrs. Caylor
Mrs. Morton Billings, 64, former resident of Polk City, died late Tuesday night in Newton at the home of her eldest daughter, Mrs. James Caylor, 312 First Street South.
Death was attributed to a heart attack, which followed a week’s illness of la grippe.
The body was taken to Valley Junction, where funeral services will be conducted from the McClaren funeral home Saturday.
Mrs. Billings came here from Polk City to make her home with Mrs. Caylor last April, shortly after the death of her husband.
Surviving relatives include three daughters: Mrs. Caylor of Newton, Mrs. Julius Vandenburg and Mrs. Stewart Ward of Valley Junction, and two sons, Fred Billings of Polk City and Mell Billings of Washington, Ind.
