Albert Bicknell Dies Late Sunday
Former Local Factory Employee Dies at Skiff Hospital at Age Of 62
Albert Bicknell, 62, died Sunday at 6:40 p.m. at the Skiff Memorial hospital following a lingering illness from a malignant disease.
Mr. Bicknell was brought to the Newton hospital from the Broadlawns hospital in Des Moines on May 17.
Mr. Bicknell, former employee of the Maytag company, had been living in Des Moines in recent months.
A son, Scott Bicknell, lives at 219 East Thirteenth Street North.

To Hold Bicknell Rites Wednesday
Funeral services for Albert Bicknell, 62, will be conducted from the Murdoch funeral home Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. H. LeRoy Kinser, pastor of the First Christian church. Interment will be in the Adamson Grove cemetery.
Mr. Bicknell died Sunday evening at the Skiff Memorial hospital following a lingering illness from a malignant disease.
Surviving relatives include a son, Scott Bicknell of Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Benton of Ames and Mrs. Dorothy Jones of Grinnell; a niece, Mrs. Lou Lantz of Des Moines, and six grandchildren.

Bicknell Rites Held Wednesday
Services Held in Newton; Burial in Adamson Grove Cemetery
Funeral services for Albert Bicknell, 62, were conducted from the Murdoch funeral home Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. H. LeRoy Kinser, pastor of the First Christian church.
Mrs. Fred Reeve furnished the music, singing, “Rock of Ages” and “City Foursquare.” The organ accompaniment was furnished by Lois Hundling.
Interment was in the Adamson Grove cemetery, with the following serving as pall bearers: Tom Clark, Dr. A. A. Adamson, Claude Wheeler, James Burroughs, Bert Squires and Robert Austin.
