Chicago Man, 57, Dies Today at Relative’s Home
George Edward Beaumont, 57, of Chicago died today at 3 a.m. at the home of his brother-in-law, George Wicks, 303 East Eighth Street North. Death was due to a chronic ailment.
Mr. Beaumont, who had been in ill health for the past year, came with his wife to Newton two months ago from Chicago to stay in the home of Mrs. Beaumont’s brother, Mr. Wicks.
Mr. Beaumont spent most of his life in Chicago.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Morgan funeral home Monday at 2:00 p.m. by Dr. Leslie B. Logan, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church. Interment will be in the Newton Union cemetery.

Conduct Funeral Rites in Newton For Chicago Man
Funeral services for George Edward Beaumont, 57, of Chicago, who died here Saturday, were conducted from the Morgan funeral home Monday at 2:00 p.m. by Dr. Leslie B. Logan, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Logan and Mrs. Fred Reeve, who sang, “In the Garden” and “City Foursquare.”
Interment was in Palo Alto cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers: Ami S. Huffman, C. A. Jackson, Snowden Atwood, Robert Higby, William Green and Al Wilson.
Mr. Beaumont died Saturday at the home of his brother-in-law, George Wicks, 303 East Eighth Street North, following a long illness from a chronic ailment.
He and his wife came here from Chicago two months ago.
