Jerald D. "Jay" Williams, 59, of Newton died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, in the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield, Mo. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield, Mo.

Memorials may be sent to his wife, Evelyn Williams, 1012 S. Fifth Ave. E., Newton 50208.

The son of Robert Earl and Wilma Lorraine (Lambert) Williams, he was born June 16, 1945, in Brookfield, Mo. He retired from the Maytag Company and was a long-time resident of Newton.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Scott Williams of Mendon, Mo., and Kimberly and Hamilton Little of Waverly, Mo.; a step-son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Jill Christy of Newton; one step-daughter, Karen Christy of Newton; five granddaughters; three step-granddaughters; and a brother, Billie Williams of Brookfield, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Robert Jr. and a granddaughter. ~
