Brian G. Verhey, 57, passed away Saturday at his residence in Santa Cruz, Calif.

Brian is survived by his wife, Karmen (Moorman) Verhey; mother, Joann (Ben) Verhey of Pella; three sisters, Kathy and Duane Heyveld of Pella, Connie and Mark Roozeboom of Pella and Kim and Brian Ede of Staunton, Va.; mother-in-law, Marlene (Bennie) Moorman of Newton; three brothers-in-law, Kevin and Lori Moorman, Kendall and Natalie Moorman and Kent and Debby Moorman, all of Baxter; and sister-in-law, Kathie and Carlton Saunders of Cedar Rapids; along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella.

In honor of Brian, purple clothing is preferred.

Visitation will begin after 4 p.m. Friday at the Calvary CRC with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials contributions to Hope Ministries. ​~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, 24 Jan 2019.
