James L. Griggs
Jan. 13, 2019James L. Griggs, 77, of Newton, was promoted to glory Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019. He grew up in Newton and moved to California after high school graduation where he spent the remainder of his life.
Proceeded by parents, Oliver and Gladys; brothers Ron and Mike; nephew Mark; as well as numerous aunts, uncles,cousins and friends.
He is survived by his bride, Rose Anne (Rosie Alvarez) Griggs of Santa Ana; sons, Bishop Griggs and Gilbert Gil; daughter, Jennifer; brother, Terry (Pam) of Riverside; as well as a multitude of cousins, nieces and nephews. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, 24 Jan 2019.
