COLFAX -- Lou Ann Mettler, 68, of Colfax died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Funeral services were held today at Ankeny Funeral Home in Ankeny. The body was cremated following the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Mettler; four daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Don "Butch" Rice of Newton, Julie and Kevin Moss of Bondurant, Michelle and Brian Mettler of Newton and Kathy and Pat Carmody of Solon; four sons and their wives, Randy and Linda Sapp of Mingo, Gary and Sue Sapp of Des Moines, Bob and Rose Mettler of Des Moines and Ed and Kim Mettler of Newton; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Vera McKitrick.
