MARSHALLTOWN -- Troy Ryan Brawner, 21, of Marshalltown died Monday, Sept. 6, from injuries sustained in an ATV collision with a pickup truck northwest of Baxter while enjoying the weekend with his father and brother.

Memorial services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home in Marshalltown.

There will be no visitation. The body was cremated. Memorials will be accepted in his name and may be left at Newton Wal-Mart.

The son of Jeffrey and Shirley Brawner, he was born Aug. 3, 1983. He earned a GED from Marshalltown Community College and worked for Cowen Roofing in Marshalltown. He enjoyed spending time with his son, family and many friends.

Survivors include a son, Xavier; his father of Colfax; his mother of Marshalltown; a brother, Jeffrey of Marshalltown; two half-sisters, Gia and Krystal Metzel of Des Moines; his grandparents, W.D. "Jeff" and Glennis Brawner of Colfax and Claudine Quillen of Marshalltown; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
