PRAIRIE CITY -- Eva June (Johnson) Stevens Morhauser, 94, of Prairie City, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2004, at the Fleur Care Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be held at the Prairie City United Methodist Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be held Friday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City from 2 until 8 p.m. The family will be present to greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa or the Iowa Department for the Blind.

The daughter of Lyle and Cora (Simbro) Johnson, she was born June 25, 1910, in Prairie City. She attended school in her hometown and graduated from Prairie City High School in 1928. The following year, she married Keith Stevens. He died in 1973. Several years later, in 1981, she married John Morhauser. He died in 1991. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's organization, the Bide-A-Wee Club, the O.D.O. Club, the Order of Eastern Star and Past Matrons Club. She also enjoyed working as a nursing assistant at Clearview Manor for many years. She was a member of the Prairie City United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Suzanne and David Trask of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Nancy Stevens of Tucson, Ariz.; three granddaughters; one grandson; four great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter; two step-daughters, Margaret (Morhauser) Shaykewich and Mary (Morhauser) Fox; one step-granddaughter; three step-grandsons; and two step-great-grandsons.
