COLFAX -- Betty M. Milbourn, 84, of Colfax died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at U.S.A. Healthcare-Newton.

Funeral services will be held at the Colfax United Methodist Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax is handling arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The family asks that any memorial gifts be given to the Betty M. Milbourn Memorial Fund.

The daughter of William and Mary (Kelley) Davis, she was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Fort Dodge. She attended North High School in Des Moines and graduated from Mitchellville High School. She married Lloyd G. Milbourn in Maryville, Mo. She enjoyed her employment with both Younkers and Deans Studio and also taught ceramics since 1969. She was a Sunday school teacher, a past president of the United Methodist Women and a past president of the Mitchellville PTA.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; a son, William Milbourn of Colfax; and a daughter, Janis Ray of Newton; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Faye McNeer of Las Vegas, Nev., and JoAnn Young of Kingman, Ariz.
