Beatrice Virginia Butler, 92, of 301 E. 11th St. N. died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at Nelson Manor Care Center in Newton.

Private family graveside services will be held at Newton Union Cemetery with the Rev. Rollin Watters of Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter officiating. Pence-Reese Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials will be accepted in her name, to R.S.V.P. or Skiff Hospital Auxiliary.

The daughter of Carl L. and Estella (Wright) Bish, she was born Oct. 14, 1912, in Newton. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1930. On Dec. 19, 1932, she married Albert Cecil Butler in Newton. She was a homemaker and a piano teacher. She also helped her husband on the farm.

Mrs. Butler was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Newton and a member of Skiff Auxiliary and R.S.V.P.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Sally and Don Allan and Bonnie Butler, all of Baxter; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and stepmother, Esther Bish.
