G.C. BOLLHOEFER DIES ON SUNDAY;RITES WEDNESDAY

BAXTER-Grant Christopher Bollhoefer, 67, of rural Laurel, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Sunday evening at his farm home following a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday in St. John's United Church of Christ. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Boyd-Nickell Funeral Home in Baxter is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions to the St. John's United Church of Christ will be accepted.

Survivors are his wife, Meta; two daughters, Mrs. Robert(Grace) Buckles and Mrs. Albert (Esther) Schmidt, both of rural Newton; a son, David Bollhoefer, of rural Laurel; nine grandchildren; three brothers, John Bollhoefer of Marshalltown, Edward Bollhoefer of Haverhill and Albert Bollhoefer of Newton; and two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Sietmann of Marshalltown and Mrs. Martha White of Melbourne.

Mr. Bollhoefer was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ and was confirmed in 1916.

The son of Christoph and Mary Bollhoefer, he was born Sept. 25, 1901 in northern Jasper County and was educated in rural Jasper County schools.

He was married to Meta Propp Feb.8, 1930 in St. John's United Church of Christ. ~ Newton Daily News 12-9-1968
