Services held For Mrs. Chas. (Luella M.) Koon
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles (Luella M.) Koon, 73, of Ira, a resident of Jasper County for more than 40 years, were held Monday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Morris Hay, pastor of the Hickory Grove Church near Kellogg, conducted services. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery near Baxter.
Survivors are two daughters, Viola Koon of Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Baxter and Mrs. Cecil (Marie) Carpenter of Ira; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ida Lewis, of Marceline, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles, February, 1975; nine sisters; a son, Jack, in 1971; and an infant son in 1934.
Mrs. Koon was a member of the Ira United Methodist Church.
The daughter of Charles T. and Dorothea Noldge Wright, she was born Jan. 6, 1902 in Marceline, Mo.
She was married Nov. 2, 1919 at Elliott.
She died Friday afternoon at the Colonial Manor.
