Rites Held for Henry Beckham Wednesday
Henry Beckham, 77, of Colfax, a long-time resident of Colfax, died Saturday evening, June 12, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Robert Jones, pastor of the Colfax Christian Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Cora; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Lang of Grinnell and two brothers, Alfred of Whittier, Calif., and Charles of Humboldt.
Mr. Beckham, an employe of the Maytag Co. for 24 years, had previously been employed as a coal miner.
The son of Benjamin and Ann Sage Beckham, he was born Dec. 18, 1898 in Beacon.
He was married to Cora Hunter October 28, 1929 at Rock Island, Illinois.

Bearers: Junior Ekins, Charles Rosenberger, Robert Townsend, George Wall, John Weirick, William Wueve.
