Henry A. Weithers Dies July 23rd
Henry Andrew Weithers of Colfax, 75, a longtime Colfax resident, died Sunday at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Robert Jones, pastor of the Colfax Christian church, conducted services. Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Marie; three sons, Henry Edward of Colfax, Ben of Des Moines and Ked of Newton; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry of Martinsburg; and two sisters, Mrs. Selena Burt of Colfax and Mrs. Jim (Bertha) Mellor of Colfax.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister and a daughter, Marvlyn.
Mr. Weithers was a retired Maytag Co. employee.
The son of Henry and Sinaha Vogel Weithers, he was born Dec. 25, 1902 at Grinnell.
He was married to Marie Brown Feb. 9, 1931 at Newton.
