Rosa Belle Snook Died Thursday
Mrs. Harry (Rosa Belle) Snook, 80, of Newton, longtime resident of Jasper County, died Thursday morning at Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Johnson Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Ray Barnett, pastor of the First Christian Church conducted the services. Burial was in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Survivors are five sons, Howard, John, Harry (Ted), Burton R. and Lawrence (Butch), all of Newton; four daughters, Mrs. Dale (Kathryn) Gearhart of Colfax, Mrs. Harold (Anna Mae) McClimen, Mrs. O. T. (Betty) Scott and Mrs. Glynn (Carolyn) Williams, all of Newton and 16 grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Kathryn) Hoffert of Newton, Mrs. Gail (Leona) Engle of Baxter and Mrs. William (Agnes) Muck of Colfax; and a brother, Edwin Hummel of Colfax.
The daughter of John and Anna Robison Hummel, she was born Jan. 19, 1893 in Jasper County and attended Jasper County Schools.
