Warren E. Beach Died Sunday
Warren Earl Beach, 66, of Colfax, a resident of Colfax since June of 1972, died Sunday afternoon at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Graveside rites were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Newton Union Cemetery. Masonic services were conducted at the cemetery by the Newton Lodge No. 59 AF and AM.
Johnson Funeral Chapel handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society will be accepted.
Survivors are his wife, Dorothy; a son, Harry E. of Tustin, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Stockton of Colfax and Mrs. Sandra Parmenter of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Florence McCarty of Denver, Colo.
Mr. Beach was a former court reporter in Des Moines.
He had been a member of the Des Moines Acanthus Masonic Lodge No. 632 AF and AM, and the National Shorthand Reporters Association.
The son of Harry E. and Nellie Butler Beach, he was born Oct. 20, 1906 in Carroll and attended Des Moines and Carroll schools and a court reporters school in Chicago, Ill.
He was married to Dorothy E. Doran Feb. 11, 1939 in Toledo.
Mr. Beach also had resided in Carroll, Des Moines, Marshalltown, Colorado and California.
