Marvin D. Jabaai Died Dec. 21st
Marvin Dale Jabaai, 39, of this city died Thursday, Dec. 21, 1972 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec 24, 1972 at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Colfax.
The Rev. Wm. Leonard Rowse, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. John Van Den Berg, conducted the services.
Edward J. Gannon was the soloist and Mrs. Frank B. Evans was organist.
The bearers were Dan Aalbers, Gary Fields, Jerry Nikkel, Larry D. Renaud, Kenneth Van Roekel, Harold Van Ryswyk and Dennis Vos.
Mrs. D. D. Schroder and Mrs. Ron Telfer were in charge of flowers.
Military graveside rites were by Jones-Willis Post No. 175 American Legion of Colfax. Burial was in Waveland Cemetery at Prairie City.
Walters Funeral Home in Colfax was in charge of arrangements.
The son of Neil and Minnie Den Hartog Jabaai, he was born Nov. 17, 1933 at Prairie City.
On July 30, 1954 he was married to Rosemary McCuen in Colfax.
Mr. Jabaai was a member of the Kiwanis Club and American Legion, both of Colfax.
Survivors are his wife, Rosemary; a son, Myron Dale at home; his mother, Mrs. Ira Van Wyngarden of Prairie City; a brother, Leonard of Colfax; and three sisters, Mrs. John (Berdine) Breed of Prairie City, Mrs. Albert (Matilda) Van Zee of Pella and Mrs. Robert (Esther) Aalbers of Runnells.
He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son.
