Mrs. Lester (Martha Jane) Willey Dies
Mrs. Lester (Martha Jane) Willey, 78, a lifelong resident of Colfax, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 1972 at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
The daughter of Mrs. Joseph and Maria Clarke Naisbitt, she was born June 7, 1894 at Colfax.
On Jan. 1, 1926 she was married to Lester Willey at Colfax.
Mrs. Willey was a member of the United Methodist Church in Colfax.
Survivors are her husband, Lester; a brother, Joseph Naisbitt of Prairie City; and two sisters, Mrs. Dan (Mary) Price of Colfax and Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Hitchler of Newton.
Mrs. Willey was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held Wednesday Dec. 27 1972 at 2 p.m. in Walters Funeral Home in Colfax.
The Rev. Wm. Leonard Rowse, pastor of the United Methodist Church, conducted the services.
Miss Mable Kaldenberg was the soloist and Miss Eleanor Howell was organist.
The bearers were: George Brown, Robert Hitchler, Dale Clark, Robert Naisbitt, George Naisbitt and Phillip Brown.
Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.
