Carl E. Eatwell, 72, of Marshalltown, a former resident of Mingo, died Sunday morning.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Estel-Perrin Funeral Home in Marshalltown.
Dr. James Delahooke, pastor of the United Methodist church in Marshalltown, conducted the services. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown.
Survivors are his wife, Mabel; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Eva) Thomas of Marshalltown; two grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred and John, both of Mingo; and three sisters, Mrs. Edith Setzer of Nevada, Mrs. Edna Geisler of Baxter and Mrs. Ruth Hall of Bondurant.
Mr. Eatwell was a 1965 retiree of Swift and Co.
The son of Cyrus and Arpie Longnecker Eatwell, he was born May 30, 1900 at Mingo and was educated in Mingo schools.
He was married to Mabel Stirer Jan. 14, 1920 at Des Moines.
