Mrs. Jerome D. (Catherine Agnes) Coakley Dies
Mrs. Jerome D. (Catherine Agnes) Coakley, 90, who resided the past six years with her daughter, Mrs. George (Catherine) Grundy in Colfax, died Thursday morning, Nov. 30, 1972 at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services for Mrs. Coakley, who was a longtime resident of Monroe, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 1972, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax.
The Rev. Omer Woltering, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Edward Susic of Lovilia, conducted the services.
The soloist was Edward J. Gannon Jr. and Miss Mary Clarke was the organist.
Bearers were: James Clarke, Robert Gregg, Harold Hunter, Jerry Munson, Steven Munson and Elmer Seieroe.
Mrs. Frank Carlson and Mrs. Elmer Seieroe were in charge of the flowers.
Burial was in Glendale Catholic Cemetery in Des Moines.
Walters Funeral Home in Colfax was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Coakley was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Clifford, she was born July 2, 1882 at Otley.
She was married Feb. 3, 1913 in Newton. Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1967.
Surviving, in addition to her daughter, Mrs. Grundy, is a brother, William Clifford of Des Moines.
