Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Dop Died Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Dop, 41, of Rt. 1, Colfax, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, were held Monday at the Loehr Funeral Chapel in Newton.
The Rev. Leonard Rowse, pastor of the Colfax United Methodist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Survivors are her husband, Harold; four daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Bonnie) Temple of Lynnville, Mrs. Don (Roseanne) Maxwell of Collins, Mrs. Mike (Marilyn) Harmison of Colfax and Barbara Dop at home; a grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Don Slycord of Newton; a brother, Glenn Woody of Newton; a half-brother, Verland Beckham of Newton; and her mother, Mrs. Nettie Cary of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Dop was a member of the Colfax United Methodist Church.
The daughter of Roy and Nettie McNeely Cary, she was born Aug. 23, 1930 at Colfax.
She was married May 3, 1947 in Newton.
She died Friday noon at her home.
