M. O. Bumgardner Died Wednesday
M. O. Bumgardner of Mineral Wells, Texas, former businessman of this city, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 27, 1972 at a hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He had been in ill health the past few years and had been hospitalized four weeks at the time of his death.
Mr. Bumgardner is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Kathy; son, John and two grandchildren.
He was owner of the Bumgardner Funeral Home and Furniture store in Colfax a number of years and since moving from here has been owner of the Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells, Texas. The address is Box 398, Mineral Wells, Texas 76067.

M. O. Bumgardner Rites Held
Funeral services for Mitchell O. Bumgardner, 61 were held Friday, Sept. 29th at 3:00 p.m. at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Chapel in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Graveside services were held Sept. 30th at 3:00 p.m. at the Rock Grove Cemetery in Nora Springs, Iowa. The Masonic Lodge of Nora Springs conducted the final rites.
Survivors are his wife, Jean of Mineral Wells, Texas; a son, John of New Orleans, La.; a daughter, Mrs. Glen Johnson of Kanawha, Iowa; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Bumgardner died Sept. 27th at the Harris Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, following a lengthy illness.
He moved from Colfax in 1960 to Mineral Wells, Texas, where he owned and operated the Baum-Carlock- Bumgardner Funeral Home.
The son of Harry and Mildred Hardman Bumgardner, he was born November 12, 1910 at Nora Springs, Iowa.
He was a member of Za-Ga-Zig Shrine of Des Moines, Twilight Lodge AF & AM of Spirit Lake, Iowa and the Des Moines Consistory.
While a resident of Colfax, Mr. Bumgardner owned and operated the Bumgardner Funeral Home and Furniture Store.
