Death Of Son-in-law in Singapore
Word was received Sunday morning by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clippinger of the death of their son-in-law, Gene Mortley, 41, of a heart attack.
Mr. Mortley was associated with the Bank of America in Singapore. His widow is the former Bonnie Clippinger and they have a daughter, Bettina, who is 2 years old.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mortley reside in Newton.
Services will be held Monday, August 24th in the United Methodist Church at Colfax.
Mrs. Mortley and daughter will be accompanying the body from Singapore and will arrive Saturday, August 22nd at the Des Moines airport.
