Mrs. Robert (Irene) Hamilton Dies August 13 1970
Graveside rites for Mrs. Robert (Irene) Hamilton, 73, a resident of Newton for the past 5 years and former resident of the Colfax and Mingo communities, were held Saturday, August 15th at 1 p.m. in the Colfax Cemetery.
The Rev. W. L. Rowse, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Colfax, officiated.
Mrs. Hamilton died Thursday, August 13, 1970, at Nelson Manor in Newton.
The daughter of Jacob and Eudora Alloway Brucks, she was born June 25, 1897, in Monticello.
She was married March 30, 1958, in Newton.
Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mingo.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Grigg of Hiawatha; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
