Elmer L. Brewer Died June 26th
Service was at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 1970, at Hamiltons Funeral Home at Des Moines for Elmer Lee Brewer, 62, of Fairbanks, Alaska, a former Colfax resident who died of meningitis at Fairbanks Community Hospital, Friday, June 26th. Burial was in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines.
Mr. Brewer, a former automobile company laborer, was born in Runnells and lived in Des Moines about five years before moving to Colfax where he lived until going to Fairbanks the fore part of June.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; six daughters, Mrs. Joan Johnson, Mrs. Patricia Ann Galvan, and Kathy Brewer, all of Fairbanks, Mrs. Betty Dyke, Mrs. Linda Miricle, both of Des Moines, and Mrs. Barbara Miricle of Greeley, Colo.; and a son, Dale of Fairbanks; his mother, Mrs. Maude Brewer of Des Moines; four sisters, Mrs. Edith Stay of Princeton, Minn., Mrs. Elvie McNamara of Foley, Minn., Mrs. Helen Carlson, Mrs. Velma Gage, both of Des Moines; a brother, Paul of Foley, Minn., and 20 grandchildren.
He was employed by Frank Rosenbaum and Sons for several years in this city.
