Warren W. Hale Died June 21st
Services for Warren Wilson Hale, 67, of this city were held Wednesday, June 24, 1970, at 2 p.m. in the Walters funeral Home at Colfax.
The Rev. Robert Hinshaw of Kellogg officiated.
Mrs. Gene Leonard was the soloist and Miss Eleanor Howell was organist.
The bearers were: Earnest Maxwell, Hollis Hanson, Forrest Borts, Howard Pyle, Marion Mullihan and Jay Nida.
Mrs. Hollis Hanson and Mrs. Earnest Maxwell were in charge of the flowers.
Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.
Mr. Hale, who resided at the Grand Hotel in Colfax, died Sunday, June 21, 1970, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton. He had been in the hospital eight days.
Mr. Hale moved to Colfax in March of this year from the Mingo area where he had farmed for 20 years. He had lived at Villisca prior to going to Mingo.
The son of Frank and Ethel Mae Garrison Hale, he was born November 3, 1902, in Harrison County, Mo.
He was married to Angie Van Dusseldorp Henderson on July 12, 1958, at Bethany, Mo.
Surviving are his widow, Angie; two sons, Warren W. Hale Jr. of Independence, Mo., and Russell Hale of Mingo; a daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Doris) Henderson of San Pablo, Calif.; two stepsons, Clifford Henderson of San Pablo, Calif., and Ronald Henderson of Colfax; a step-daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Marcella) Van Sante of Long Beach, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Vaughn Hale of Knoxville, Francis Hale of Minneapolis, Minn., and Forrest Hale of Villisca.

We wish to thank our friends and relatives for the kindness shown our loved one during his illness; also to thank all who have been so thoughtful toward us since his passing. We have deeply appreciated the lovely floral tributes, cards and memorials; also the food that was sent and the ladies who served lunch to the family. We could never express how truly grateful we are for everything.
