Alfred Good Died Thurs., March 26
Alfred Marion Good, 86, a resident of Colfax most of his lifetime, died Thursday, March 26, 1970, at the Nelson Manor in Newton where he had resided the past two years.
The son of J. M. and Sadie Johnston Good, he was born Nov. 19, 1883, at Boone.
He was married to Myrtle Eldora Webster on Dec. 20, 1904, at Newton.
Mr. Good was a member of the Colfax Christian church.
Preceding him in death were a son, John Wesley Good; and two daughters, Mrs. Nina Elizabeth Brown, and Tina May, who died in infancy.
Surviving are his widow, Myrtle; a sister, Mrs. Nora Adams of Des Moines; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 28th at 2 p.m. in Walters Funeral Home at Colfax.
The Rev. Gaylon Decious, pastor of the Colfax Christian Church, officiated.
The pallbearers were: Danny Adams, Joe Bolen, Clyde Brown, Carl Dick, Kenneth Faidley and Richard Hendee.
Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.
