Omar Campbell passed away at his home at 413 East 3rd St., Ames, Iowa, at 7:20 a.m., February 27, 1964.
Mr. Campbell was born September 18, 1896 at Mingo, Iowa. He was the son of William and Agnes Campbell. Mr. Campbell was married to Ethel Elizabeth Eubank on October 3, 1917.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel, and two sons, Gale of Nevada, Iowa, and Carrol of Gilbert, Iowa; five daughters, Mrs. Robert K. McCoy (Evelyn) and Mrs. Donald F. Miller (Grace) of Ames, Iowa, Mrs. Denver Barker (Gladys), Mrs. Robert Maggard (June) and Mrs. Walter Barker (Nadine) all of Mingo; two sisters, Mrs. Ila Mills of Nevada and Mrs. Iva Eubank of Mingo; twenty-two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mr. Campbell had spent his lifetime in Jasper and Story Counties. Previous to his retirement, he worked at the Swine Nutrition Farm for ten years. After his retirement he made his home with his daughter at 413 East 3rd Street.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at Adams Funeral Chapel in Ames with Rev. Robert Link of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Nevada, officiating. Burial was at Union Chapel Cemetery northeast of Mingo with graveside services at 3:30.
