Laurence R. Murty, who was well known in Colfax, having been employed in the capacity of bath man at several of the hotels, died at the home of his parents after an illness of five months. He was the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. James Murty of Montour, Iowa. On March 16, 1908, he came to Colfax, where he made many warm friends, and September 28 was united in marriage to Miss Daisy Gregg, by Rev. Miles of the Presbyterian church.
He leaves to mourn their loss a wife, father, mother, six brothers, and three sisters.
