William Mardis, son of Mrs. R. Warner and brother of Bige Mardis, died at the asylum for the insane at Mt. Pleasant last Saturday. The body was sent to Colfax and funeral services were conducted at the home of his mother Tuesday afternoon by Rev. King. Mr. Mardis was unmarried and about 38 years of age. He had been an inmate of the asylum for about three years.
