Mary Sprouse Services Held
Mrs. Alfred (Mary Hazel) Sprouse, 65, a resident of Colfax for 30 years, died Thursday, July 21, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 Sunday afternoon, July 24, at the Colfax Christian Church.
The Rev. James Robison of Des Moines conducted services. Burial was in the Colfax Cemetery.
Survivors are her husband; two sons, Joe and Tom, both of Colfax; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Sprouse was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, a sister and three grandchildren.
She was a member of the Colfax Christian Church.
The daughter of James and Rosie Hedgecock, she was born April 30, 1913 at Centerville.
She was married April 11, 1932 in Unionville, Missouri.
Organist: Mrs. Larry Baird. Soloist: Mrs. Paul Hill.
Casket bearers: Arthur Hedgecock, Larry Hedgecock, Robert Hedgecock, Glen Sprouse, Gerald Starr, Ray Sprouse.
Flower Committee: Mrs. Eleanor Zachary, Mrs. Violet Brown.
