Nine Year Old Cherri Hadsall Died July 10
Cherri Hadsall, 9 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Hadsall of this community, died Thursday, July 10th at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines. The youngster had entered the hospital July 8th for treatment, having been in ill health the past two years.
The youth was born April 15th, 1949 in Des Moines, Ia., and had spent her lifetime in the Colfax area. She would have been a student in the fourth grade at school this fall.
The child is survived by her parents, a sister Vicki; a brother, Danny, maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Yochum, and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Hadsall, all of Colfax. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon from the Colfax Methodist church with Rev. E. Harold Jackson, pastor of the church officiating.
Music was furnished by Mrs. LaVerne Woods, soloist, with Miss Eleanor Howell, organist.
Bearers were Earl Bell, Cecil Ogburn, Donald Grosvenor and Iden Shissler.
Flower committee – Mrs. Earl Bell, Mrs. Howard Williams, Sr., and Mrs. Cecil Ogburn.
Burial was in the Colfax cemetery.
