Yesterday at the home of his parents near Kellogg, were held the last funeral rites over the body of James P. Sulser, whose death occurred at Des Moines, Thursday. Altho the weather was so unfavorable, a large number were in attendance, any having to remain out of doors during the service.

The deceased was a Knight of Pythias. He was genial and generous hearted and had many friends.

The grief of the parents and his sisters in the home, where he was the only son, is very great, and to the wife, to whom yesterday was laughter and light, today is darkness and bitter tears.

The floral offerings were beautiful and there were many of them.

Rev. W. W. Hess, of the Presbyterian Church of this city, who performed the marriage ceremony a little over a month ago, yesterday at the request of the bride, officiated at the last service for the dead.

The interment was made in the Kellogg Cemetery. The service at the grave was conducted by the Knights of Pythias.

The Knights from this city in attendance were G. H. Nollen, Alton Reynolds, Chas. Ramsey, John Coon, Harry Dean, John Conn, Irvin Skow, Clyde Quaintance, Byron Chestnut, James Davidson, George Simpson, O. V. Bair, Charles Skow, Ray Gibford and Earl Cooper. ~ The Newton Daily News, Monday, April 29, 1907, Page 4, Column 2
