Mike Guizzetti Died At Home Wednesday Noon
Michael (Mike) Guizzetti, 62, died shortly after noon Wednesday at his home. He had been in a coma since 4 a.m., life gradually ebbing away. He had submitted to an operation at Iowa City several months ago. Death was due to a malignancy of the digestive tract.
He was born in Italy. He was a miner by trade and came to Colfax in 1916 at the time the mines were still in operation souoth of Colfax. He has lived here since with the exception of a short time in Des Moines.
He is survived by his wife Mary, two daughters, Mrs. David (Ann) Irwin of Newton, Mrs. Wm. (Mary) Hopkins of Colfax, one son John Guizzetti of Colfax and two step daughters Mrs. Francis (Jennie) Hayes of Colfax and Mrs. Gary (Lena) Baxter of Fort Wayne, Ind.
The time of the funeral is tentatively set for 9:30 Friday morning at the Catholic church. Interment will be in the Colfax cemetery.
