Lota L. Colyn Services to Be Held Thursday
Funeral services for Lota L. Colyn, 73, of 510 N. 6th Ave. E., owner and operator of a rooming house in Newton for more than 30 years, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev A. B Sudbrock, pastor of the Newton Baptist Temple, will conduct services. Burial will be in Hughes Cemetery at Pleasant Hill. Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Survivors are a brother, Chase Keller of Denver, Colo., two sisters, Mrs. Ivar (Bertha) Read and Mrs. Lee (Elizabeth) Rucker, both of Newton; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ben (Grace) Keller of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.
The daughter of Constant and Minnie Hol Keller, she was born May 6, 1903 in Percy.
She died Tuesday morning at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
