Mrs. Hartley was a sincere Christian woman, her first membership being in the Colfax Christian church, which she joined in 1897. There are left to mourn her leaving the husband, Walter W. Hartley, his father, Mr. George Hartley, two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Meade and Mrs. Mima B. Stewart of Colfax, and many friends. The funeral services were conducted from the Presbyterian church on Monday afternoon, April 16, 1917. Mrs. Hartley’s pastor, Rev. E. G. Williams, was the officiating minister.
