Died, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hall, on Wednesday evening at six o’clock, April 24, 1918, Arthur Wright Hall, aged five years.
He had been ailing for the past week but had not been seriously ill, in fact, on Wednesday morning was apparently better.
About one hour before his death he was taken suddenly worse and Dr. F. W. Stewart was called in the absence of Dr. C. M. Porter who had charge of the case but was out of the city.
Dr. Porter had diagnosed it as a mild case of uremic poisoning but thought it would be overcome.
The calamity was so sudden when it came that all was over in an hour, in spite of all that could be done.
He was a bright boy, the pride of his parents and friends. No thought of his death had come to the stricken parents and a deep sorrow has fallen upon them.
Some lives accomplish more in five years than others in fifty, and judged by this standard, Arthur Wright Hall left an influence upon all who knew him that cannot be forgotten.
The funeral will be held at the home Friday at 2:30 p.m., in charge of Rev. C. S. Wikoff. Interment will be in Oak View cemetery.
