Mrs. Margaret Ann Anderson
Margaret Ann McCounaughey was born in Highland county, Ohio, March 8, 1856, daughter of George and Mary McCounaughey.
The family came to Iowa in 1870 and settled at Monroe. They have since made Jasper county their home.
Deceased was married November 8, 1899, to George F. Anderson at Prairie City. Her death occurred Friday, March 30th. The funeral was held at the M.E. church Sunday afternoon in charge of her pastor, Rev. Cannom.
Besides her husband who survives her are two brothers, Dr. W. D. McCounaughey, of Prairie City; and R. E. McCounaughey, of Pasnia, Colo., and three nieces, Mrs. Mabel Neilson, Mrs. Maude Anderson and Mrs. Sadie Stevens.
