Lindsay Robinson Is Dead
Well Known Colored Man Dies Suddenly Saturday
Lindsay Robinson, 45, one of the well-known and highly respected colored citizens of Colfax, died very suddenly Saturday afternoon at the Centropolis Sanitarium where he was employed. The summons came almost without warning. The funeral took place Tuesday. The deceased leaves a wife and several children to mourn the loss of a husband and father.
He was found dead in the basement of the hotel about six o’clock. He had been dead about thirty minutes when found, and his death is supposed to have come from heart trouble, from which he had been a long sufferer. The county coroner was called, but seemed an inquest unnecessary.
