Old Monroe Settler Dies
Two of the Children Left are Residents of Colfax
Mr. Abe Rexroat, pioneer resident of Jasper county, died at his home in Monroe last Thursday at the ripe old age of eighty-two years. He was one of the pioneer settlers of Jasper county, and he numbered among the successful farmers in Fairview township where he took a leading part in all enterprises for the betterment of the community.
He leaves, besides his widow, ten children: Mrs. George Lust, Mrs. Ed Lust, Mrs. Albert Noon, and Mrs. G. McKee of Monroe; Mrs. Ed Short of Colfax; Mrs. Pearl Canfield of Newton; Kempber of Colfax; and Frank, Bert and Merle of Monroe.
