Clear Creek – Mrs. Henry Downs died suddenly at her home in Baxter Tuesday, Jan. 22, 1918. She was about 85 years of age and spent most of her life on the farm west of Clyde and at Baxter. Mr. Downs died in the spring of 1910. They had five children, two of whom died in infancy. Harry died about two years ago, Horace, of Baxter and Dr. Edward Downs of Oklahoma, with four grandchildren survive and mourn the loss of a good mother and friend. The funeral was held Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
