Donald Benjamin Rites Conducted

Graveside services for Donald Kuhn Benjamin, 51, a former Newton resident, were held Friday afternoon at the Newton Union cemetery.

The Rev. Donald Bell, minister of the Church of the Nazarene, conducted the services.

Morgan-Loehr funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Benjamin is survived by four brothers, Leonard and Lawrence Benjamin of Greeley, Colo., Clyde Benjamin of Downey, Calif., and Dale Benjamin of Des Moines; and three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Paget of Hollydale, Calif., Mrs. Jim (Doris) Storie of Whittier, Calif., and Mrs. Lee (Helen) Anderson of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

A second lieutenant in the medical corps during World War II, Mr. Benjamin was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Benjamin died Friday at North Hollywood, Calif.

A mechanic, Mr. Benjamin had resided in Sun Valley, Calif., for the past 5 years.

The son of David and Lillian Kuhn Benjamin, he was born July, 1910, in Newton and was educated in Newton schools.
