Ethel Parker, 88, Dies Wednesday; Services Monday
Mingo – Mrs. Hugh (Ethel) Parker, 88, of Mingo, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, Died Wednesday evening at the Jasper County Care Facility.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock Monday morning at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. Richard L. Clark, pastor of the Colfax United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home after 5 o’clock Saturday afternoon.
Survivors are a son, Robert Parker of Mingo; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Merle Jorgenson of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1968, two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Parker, a seamstress and public school teacher, was a member of the Colfax United Methodist Church.
She was born Nov. 7, 1888 in Jasper County.
